LOW VOLUME BATCH PRODUCTION

Ultraform’s range of Batch Production services include, CNC Machining, Vacuum casting, Metal Extrusion and a wide range of part & surface finishing

Batch Production is where you produce parts in their tens to tens-of-thousands per annum. Sometimes referred to as Low Volume manufacturing. This is where the manufacturing process is non-continuous.

Choosing the right process to match your annual production volumes is important. When production runs are low, investing heavily in expensive tooling doesn’t usually make sense. That’s why its good to know your options.

We have a variety of processes at our disposal. They are ideal for lower volume production runs.

SERVICE DETAILS

It’s often difficult to know which service is right for you. So get in touch and we can provide quotes based on several processes. We can outline the pros and cons of each.

By forcing metal through a Die, you can achieve parts that have uniform cross sections. This process has low setup costs. It can also be used produce low to high volumes.

Item such as Heatsinks for computers, Beams and Railings can be created with this process.

We can cut moulds from softer metals such as Aluminium. As a result this drastically reduce the cost of tooling and the time it takes to produce the them.

Soft tooled moulds can give you thousands of shots and piece parts.

  • Parts are created by machining a base material of metal or plastic. As a result they are inherently strong and durable. This process is both accurate and repeatable. We can quickly create components that require no investment in tooling.Find our more about:

Ideal for low volume batch production or rapid prototyping. With the look and feel of an injection moulded parts. However it’s achievable at a fraction of the time and cost.

The Rubber Compression Moulding process is where a rubber material is put under heat and pressure to create a new geometry. You can use multiple cavities to gain economies of scale.

This process is often used to create:

  • Rubber Grommets
  • Seals & Gaskets
  • Rubber Mats
  • Rubber Feet
